Who we are

Rooted in service. Built for the next generation.

MicroVenture Philanthropy Group (MVPG) coordinates charitable and philanthropic initiatives that advance sustainable agriculture, education, and community economic development throughout Jamaica and the CARIFORUM region.

Our members are professionals and graduates of Jamaican high schools, agricultural institutions, the University of the West Indies, and U.S. Land Grant Universities—united by a commitment to give back through meaningful educational and agricultural initiatives.

Our flagship initiative

Jamaica School Garden & Horticulture Project

MVPG is developing smart agricultural and environmental science gardens, alongside community FruitScapes and food forests, at participating high schools.

These gardens give students hands-on experience in agriculture, environmental science, and STEM while building career-ready skills. Their harvests can also support school canteens—addressing food access and transportation barriers that can contribute to absenteeism and early dropout.

  • Learn by doingPractical STEM, agriculture, and entrepreneurship experiences.
  • Grow local resilienceSchool gardens that can contribute to food for school canteens.
  • Create pathwaysSkills and exposure that support future study and careers.
